The Chef Michael Kramer Coastal Croatia Tour

Lovingly Curated by Chef Richard Gruica

Day 1 – Sunday, July 3rd

Croatia’s Hidden GemWelcome to Croatia! Our tour begins as we pick up the group from our meeting point, the Radisson Blu hotel in Split. You will be greeted by our co-hosts, Chef Michael Kramer and Chef Richard Gruica, and the tour’s private driver to start our fabulous week-long adventure. We will head out for a short drive to our fabulous 4-star hotel where we will be staying for two nights in Sibenik, one of Croatia’s lesser-known Croatian coastal cities. We will be staying at the ever-lovely D-Resort, one of Croatia’s most stylish resorts, with its sleek and striking design, creating a lovely juxtaposition to one of Croatia’s oldest port towns. After check-in, enjoy a short break to unwind and freshen up before we take a short trip to Croatia’s premier winery, Bibich Wine Croatia that was featured in the Bourdain episode of Croatia. There, we will enjoy a wine and food pairing of your dreams. Take it from him when he said “this is world-class food; this is world-class wine; this is world-class cheese…If you haven’t been here yet, you are a [email protected] idiot”.…here are links to videos to see.

Day 4 – Wednesday, July 6th

Bikes, Bites, and More!

The island of Pag is known for its barren, an almost moonlike landscape which features an assortment of wild herbs being grazed upon by sheep, resulting in some of the tastiest lamb, as well as lace production, olive oil, and world-class CHEESE! Today we will venture to the home of Gligora Cheese for a behind-the-scenes tour of their cheese-making facility as well as a tasting of their edible delights. As olive oil is one of the other notable top products from Pag, we will venture to the Lun Olive Grove Gardens, which is home to some of the oldest olive trees in the Mediterranean, for a lovely tour of the gardens. There are over 80,000 wild olive trees, making it the largest wild olive grove in the world. As a bonus and in keeping with one of Chef Michael’s most endearing passions, bike riding, we have arranged for e-bikes to be available for all guests that want to explore the island and join us, don’t worry about any hills, that’s where the e-bikes coming in super handy.

We will then head back to Boškinac for some downtime before heading to their 1 Michelin-starred restaurant for a fantastic tasting menu paired with the award-winning Boškinac wines. As a bonus, Chef Michael will jump in the kitchen and collaborate with the Boškinac Chef to create a surprise dish during the meal. What a wonderful way to end our experience at Boškinac. Check out this great video for an awesome overview of Pag.
